Bill Simmons Pod Simmons on Jaylen Brown trade Is it possible that they really liked Paul George as a player for their team

Bill Simmons I think one of the reasons they made the trade is they felt like he Paul George might be a better fit at this point in Jayson Tatum's career I think they were feeling like it was a better basketball fit and I think they wanted some of their other younger wings to play more

Bill Simmons I've kind of talked myself into the Paul George trade August 23rd took over 50 days it happened this week Paul George Hugo Ron Harper Baylor Scheiermanwe can replace Jaylen with bulk

Bill Simmons I dont know if this is the best situation for him Jaylen Brown in Philly but Ill guess well find out But he went from Its time for me to have my own team to him being the 4th most important person on this team Hes basically going to have to be their Derrick White

Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey Jaylens a huge piece to them so they Celtics were asking for a lot and I think we did give up a lot in this deal Paul George is still a really good player We gave up some valuable picks

Brad Stevens on trading Jaylen Brown for Paul George Its something that you have to just say do you think where we currently are will get us to where we ultimately want to go If not does it make sense to explore other pathways even if that could be very tough in the near term

Ringer Pina What does Jaylen Brown do at basketball thats definitively better than what Paul George does at basketball Mann People are unbelievably disrespectful to Paul George hes been a better more versatile defender Hes a way better pick-and-roll processor He's a better shooter
